The house overlooks a park in a residential area of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
The refurbishment concept was to connect the horizontal and vertical spaces, while at the same time creating a continuity between inside and outside.
It was a building from the 1970s. The main points of renovation were the redesign of the façade openings; connecting spaces by demolishing walls, creating an entrance courtyard by knocking down the roof of the entrance, redeveloping a small service courtyard in the center of the house, in a pleasant and relaxing space near the dining room as well as creating a source of light for the surrounding rooms.
With these interventions, the three-story house and two-story gardens have been transformed into a single fluid element.
